Profile of Journal of Graduate Education
Journal of Graduate Education, a bimonthly academic journal focusing on graduate education, is published by the Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education (CSADGE) and distributed both in and out of China.
Journal of Graduate Education, formerly known as “Education and Modernization”, was first published by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1986. In response to China’s restructuring of education journals and development of higher education, this Journal adopted the present title in 2011 with the approval of the State Administration of Press and Publication and has been jointly published by CSADGE and USTC since then. The Journal, characterized by its innovations and articles on the fast reform and development of graduate education, has enjoyed a high reputation. It was included in the list of core journals of education by Wuhan University’s Research Center for Chinese Science Evaluation in 2011, selected as a core journal by Nanjing University in its Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index(CSSCI) in 2012, selected as an Outstanding Journal in Eastern China in 2013. There has been a steady increase in its subscription, levels of authors, impact factors and online dissemination over the years. At present, it is included in several major Chinese academic databases including NSSD, CNKI, Wanfang Data, and VIP CSTPD, and serves as an important platform of academic communication among researchers and administrators of graduate education in China.
Encouraging exploration, innovation and truth, Journal of Graduate Education endeavors to find rules of developing graduate education, present new achievements in graduate education, reflect advanced educational concepts, promote talent training, and facilitating the building of an innovative nation through science and technology. Its readership includes government education officials, graduate education administrators, researchers, university teachers and students, and those from other sectors of society who are interested in the development of graduate education.
